BlueStacks is an American technology company which produces the BlueStacks App Player and other products cross-platform cloud computing. The BlueStacks App Player is designed to allow Android apps to run on Windows PCs and Macintosh computers. The company was founded in 2009 by Rosen Sharma, former CTO of McAfee and Cloud.com board member.
Investors include [1] Andreessen Horowitz, Redpoint, Samsung, Intel, Qualcomm, Citrix, Radar Partners, Ignition Partners, AMD and others. BlueStacks is 8th company Sharma (five of Sharma company was acquired by Google, Microsoft, Citrix and McAfee X 2). BlueStacks beta was released on 7 June 2014.

The company was officially launched May 25, 2011, at the Citrix Synergy conference in San Francisco. Citrix CEO Mark Templeton demonstrated an early version of BlueStacks on stage and announced that the companies have formed a partnership. Public alpha version of the App player was launched October 11, 2011. [2]
App Player is a downloadable piece of software Windows and Mac that virtualizes the full Android experience. The software is free to download and use, deactivate and present users the ability to install applications sponsored or purchase a subscription of $ 2 / month premium later.
